Who I Am

Creative. Ambitious. Quirky. Hard-working. Designer. Traveler. Writer.

My name is Jaqueta (Juh-kwet-uh) Abbey and I am a multimedia designer and storyteller. But you can call me JQ.

I am currently a graduate student working towards a master’s in interactive media at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. Expected graduation date: May 21, 2010 at 10:30a.m.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Communication Studies with a concentration in Media Studies & Production. I also minored in the Writing for the Screen & Stage program and have written two feature-length screenplays to date.

I aim to meld my interests in designing media, traveling, photography and writing into an illustrious and prosperous career! …Well, not really, but I do want to find a career that makes me excited to wake up every morning and go, “I’m in the right place.”
